Wall paintings being one of it the art of Pithora painting is practised in central Gujrat as well in parts of Madhya Pradesh. ‘PITHORA’ is the god of tribals of chhotaudepur district of Gujarat and the people of Rathwa, Bhil, Bhilala tribe living in jabua, jobat and aliraipur districts of Madhya Pradesh. The painting is traditionally done on walls during, festivals, weddings, at times if there is a sickness in the house, for better yields, cattle’s, also to conceive a child.
